1st Essex Sports Day 1899
On 25 August 1899 the 1st Essex held a sports day at Warley Barracks.
Stewards were Lt Col Stephenson, Major Massey and Major Spencer
Starters were Captain Faussett, Captain Hebden and Lt Bone
Judges were Lt Col Stephenson, Captain Millward, Lt Winter(Adj), Lt Anley, Lt Newman, Lt Parsons. 2nd Lt West. 2nd Lt Coddington and 2nd Lt Wood.
Committee members were - Captain Tufnell, Lt Pratt, 2nd Lt Howard, Sgt Major Fowler, QMS Mansfield, Sgt Guiver, Sgt Crisp and Colour Sgts of the Companies.
