5th Essex Battalion A & B Companies 1913
On Wednesday 14 November 1913 A and B Companies of the 5th Essex held a prizegiving evening at the Drill Hall, Chelmsford.
Major Fred Taylor Presided with help from Col S T B Lawford.
Present were Col the Hon A Greville MVO, Lt Col J M Welsh ( CO of the 5th Essex) , Captain and Adj A J N Merriman, Major F Hilder RHA, Major W P N Ridley, Captain E Upton ASC, Captain P C Yonge, Chaplain Rev A J Sacre. Lt H Gepp, Lt N Dawson, Lt E Dannatt and Lt Bright, Colour Sgt T E Sellick and Sgt E C Ashton.
