9th Essex - Officers April 1915

In March 1915 the battalion was transferred to Blemheim Barracks at Aldershot following their initial training at Shorncliffe.

In April 1915 they took part on manouvres with other battalions and on inpsction by Major General F Ventris they were passed as fit for active service.
