Essex County Constabulary Memorial

During World War One many members of the police in Essex joined the armed services. Twenty Two of these men died during the war and are commemorated by a memorial at Shire Hall, Chelmsford.

The memorial was unveiled on 23 September 1920 following a service of remembrance at Chelmsford Cathedral and is now displayed at Police Headquarters, Chelmsford.
