2nd Essex Volunteer Artillery Corps Shooting Competition 1862

In July 1862 the Corps held a shooting competition  at the practice ground at Purfleet.

The event was supervised by Captain Wingfield-Baker, Lt F Asplin and Lt C Asplin.

Firing control was by the instructor Master Gunner A Dowie

The referee was Major Champion Russell
